Guyana News: The border dispute between two countries of South America and Venezuela has recently deepened. Guyana has alleged that Venezuela’s Coast Guest Patrol Ship entered her water area and reached an output vessel in the managed offshore oil block.

The region is part of the 160,000 square kilometer Esquetbo region, whose ownership is disputed. Currently, this case is currently under consideration in the International Court of Court (ICJ). & Nbsp;

The President of Guyana condemns & nbsp;

Guyana President Irfan Ali has condemned the incident and said that Venezuela’s ship reached various assets including FPSO Prosperity in his special water area. He summoned the ambassador of Venezuela and has announced to complain about the incident in ICJ. Apart from this, Guyana has also increased military deployment in her area. & Nbsp;

He said, ‘I want to say clearly that marine boundaries are recognized under international law and it is a matter of serious concern. I assure you that my government is not working in a hurry. We are looking at this situation with seriousness and responsibility. He said, ‘Guyana is committed to peace and rule of law. We will continue trying for diplomatic solutions, but we will not tolerate the dangers for our regional integrity. ‘

Oas condemns Venezuela

Organizations of America and American states (OAs) supported Guyana, condemning Venezuela’s action. OAS said in a statement, ‘Such such acts of threats are clear violations of international law. These acts weaken the regional stability and endanger the principles of peaceful co-existence among the nations. The oas repeats its firm support for the sovereignty and regional integrity of the Guyana. Venezuela rule should immediately stop all aggressive exercises that can increase tension in the area. ‘

Venezuela denied the allegations

On the other hand Venezuela has denied these allegations and claimed that the water sector in which their ship was not part of Guyana is not part of Guyana as it is pending the maritime sector according to international law. Venezuela has requested Guyana to follow the 1966 Geneva Treaty, which was created to resolve this border dispute. & Nbsp;

India has good relations

The relationship between India and Guyana is quite good. The President here is of Indian origin. Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi traveled to this country, where he was awarded the highest honor. In 2022, India and Guyana agreed to strategic cooperation in the oil and energy sector.
